Is it a time to inform about new passport to NDVO?

Hi, I received PER last week and I am not sure whether my file got delivered to NDVO.I got new passport after I sent initial application since I have manual passport at the time of application submission. Is it really needed to send my new passport to my local VO in order to avoid confusion in the mind of VO or should I wait for MR?

Send a scan copy if you have file number and uci number.
