Hi everyone,

I applied a business development manager job ad in Toronto last month. After skype ıntervıew and aptitute test, they sent me their job offer today. Although the offer seems to be real, They did not send me the Labour Market Impact Assessment document. (I am living another country and as far as I know,to get a permanent residency status, I need this document)

What I wanted to know is if there is a way for chechking the offer for being official? And is there a way for checking the employer company from an official government website ?

Thanks,

Yes, they are contracting company but the position I applied is for their own company. They did not forward me to their client

Are they offering to pay for your flight and housing/food? How many vacation days per year?

Personal view but I would be suspicious of any company seeming to offer birth tourism support which is what below link implies. although I may be misinterpreting the page.

http://www.canadacareer.org/birth-assistance-in-canada/

Could be your job offer is genuine but as you said have they applied for an LMIA or they assuming you already have PR approved ?

I do not know whether they applied or not. Tomorrow, I will have a phonecall and I will ask them.

Thanks for your reply

They are offering to pay first flight trip (for me and my family) and for the first year they will pay rental expense.

All of these are written on the conditional employment offer

In that case it's almost certainly a scam. Employers never pay for housing.

Just copy + paste the letter while removing any sensitive information. It is easy to tell if it is fake or not.

Mostly Scam, if they are paying for the Housing. You can find out based on the Skills required and salary they are offering. Also, the website was created recently in June 2018 and last updated on 29th Septemeber 2018. if this date ring a bell..Stay away...
