I got admission at University of Windsor for Jan 2016 intake.I received the offer letter just 2 days back.
Q1. Do I need to get GIC account (ScotiaBank) or apply without GIC(General). also is it possible to apply under SPP for University Candidates ?
Q2. Both my parents are Govt. Employees (More than 12 Lakhs annual income) and has good financial background. If GIC is taking too much time, what will be the chance for my VISA application to get approved without a GIC account (apply with income tax proof and other documents).
Q3. What about approval chance without GIC ?

Thanks.

Since ur university is not on the SPP list u should apply under university category. u should follow university check list attached below. it says GIC is the preferred option but not mandatory option. As long as u have other acceptable documents for proof of funds it should be ok.

no one can tell u the chances of visa approval visa does not depend on GIC it depends on ur complete profile and the validity of the documents u attach. GIC is not mandatory so other documents can be used as alternatives.

visa does not depends on weather u have added GIC or not. It however depends on proof of funds and how u can prove u have proper funds. GIC is the easiest document as its a trusted source. alternatively u can add 4 months bank statements or loan letter etc.
