is gic a mandatory process when applying to univ..?

Hi
Is gic a must for university while applying for visa.
I have paid tuition fee nd bank loan stationed for 15 lakhs hope this wil be fine to show for visa.
Applying under university category
Please please clarify this..

No. GIC is NOT mandatory.Since you have paid the fee and have the loan sanctioned,you can submit fee receipt and loan sanctioned letter in your VISA application.

I have just read an article about the GIC and it states that they are only a few college under the spp category which requires the candidate /student to open a GIC on a mandatory process..

I got admission in Western Ontario Uni, London. It is not enlisted in ACCC list. Still if i go for the GIC, would it be beneficial for me during visa process?

Please reply its urgent!
