Is getting medical request a positive sign?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone who applied and got a medical request and payment of landing fees considers this a positive development. I mean is it possible to still get turned down for visa provided medical is satisfactory. Thanks

Sure, if u got medical sign, then u know that u got passing mark, and background is checked already.

Hi,

It is a positive sign since they issue Medicals once they are satisfied that you qualify.

However the Security checks and Background checks go on till Visas are issued.

IMO, not necessarily. I believe that security checks are also done in parallel in many cases, otherwise, how could it be possible to get visa within a week or so after sending medical.
