Does anyone have any idea what NOC code Gardener falls under? has anybody used this code to apply for PR. I'v seen very few people apply using this code. any help appreciated . :)

( NOC B ) 2225 – Landscape and horticulture technicians and specialists

Closest example job title listed - Landscape Gardener

( NOC D) 8612 – Landscaping and grounds maintenance labourers
Closest example job title listed - Gardener helper

Job Duties:

This is is where its gets confusing, because all the job duties of 8612 are described but written condensed in one sentence for 2225

  • Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens. ( this is basically the shortened version of not 8612 duties)

Personal view but my interpretation would be a 2225 would be the individual who designs and plans gardens but does not necessarily always get their hands dirty as it were. A bit like a building architect versus the actual builder.

The role of an 8612 would be to execute the design put forward by the 2225 but not be involved in the planning and design . So as per the heading a labourer.

Just my interpretation so up to the individual to decide where their experience fits.

My opinion is that NOC B 2225 is the most reliable description that a gardener might have. But anyway, the difference isn't that huge and you may choose anything I guess.

Incorrect. The difference is in fact huge. One is a skilled NOC and one is not a skilled NOC. It absolutely matters which one someone selects (this can determine whether they qualify for PR or not) and they must select the right one based on their job duties.
