Hi,

Somebody told me that spousal sponsorship file processing has been centralized. In other terms, me and my wife being an indian citizen doesn't necessarily man that her sponsorship file will go to delhi office. It could go to a different country altogether for procesaing. Is this true?

Thanks in advance.

Not really. Some files may go to Ottawa, but I think it's either if the VO is too overwhelmed, or the case is simple. Other than that, it's business as usual.

They're not. I've heard this rumor going around for a bit and it's not true. For a little while, the CIC listed a single processing time showing the time it takes to process 80% of applications across all visa offices, which seems to have confused a lot of people.

Applications are still processed at different visa offices, even though some might be sent to other offices to help reduce an individual office's backlog.

Some foreign applications are taken by Ottawa, but very few
