Is email transfer a legitimate way of receiving salary?

Hello,

I'm working in a skill A job in a small company. Due to the pandemic, my biweekly pay is through email transfer. No cheque. So, my paystubs don't have a cheque number. I do have records in my bank statement though.

Is it ok for paystub not to have a cheque number?
