Is cpp-o processing faster than Seoul visa office for CEC class?

Hi everyone here. I was hoping if anyone here has any idea for CEC (canadian experience class) processing time for Seoul visa office.
I am submitting the application this week and haven't decided which visa office to have my application processed. Would it be faster in CPP-O or Seoul visa office? I am guessing it might be a little faster in Seoul visa office as cpp-o deals with all different nationalities yet Seoul visa office would only have to deal with Korean applicants?

Am i wrong? Can anyone help me on this?

I filled out all the forms but this section "APPLICATION DETAIL" in Generic application form to Canada IMM 0008, question #4 asking me to state which office I would like my application to be processed ("immigration office requested for processing this application")

Also, in the same form section "NATIONAL IDENTITY DOCUMENTS" question 5, I need to select the expiry date but as a Korean (South Korean), we don't have "National identity" but have something similar called Resident ID.
It's like a SIN card here in Canada except the Korea one has a picture on the card. It never expires though. So I am not sure what to do with this section. Should I just leave it?

Please someone help me to fill out this form!

If you apply in South Korea, you would be one of the first Koreans I know that applied in Korea instead of Canada. Most Koreans I know applied in Canada because they're afraid they might need to join the military at some point.

I don't think it would be much faster if you apply in Korea because there are many more staff members to handle the cases in Ottawa v.s. in Korea

For National ID, does your "Resident ID #" appear on your passport or birth certificate? I think they want this to make sure you are not using a fake identity to come to Canada

Can passport itself be be National Identity ? It has issue date and expiry date as well.

In India also I believe there is nothing as National Identity as such apart from passport itself.

Hi,

Passport cannot be counted as "National ID" because it's a travel document. If your country doesn't have a National ID, just mark down "NO" for the section

thank you for your answer. In South Korea, the resident ID number appears in "birth certificate" (we don't really have the birth certificate in Korea but have documents that can be replaced for the purpose)
On every official government thsi "resident ID" shows.
However it's is not the same as passport number.

By the way, in Korea, as a woman, it's not mendantory to serve the country. So I don't think it would be an issue for me. However you may have a good point on CPP-O have more staff dealing with the application.

My concern is though, since the Buffalo office was closed, all the applications were allocated to either one's own country visa office or to CPP-O. Therefore, I think CPP-O may have more high volum which causes the delay. Don't you think?

This is a good question, just think about it there are tons of people applying inside Canada, how many people apply in other countries?

I would say a lot less than in Canada, I'm not sure about this but could be faster outside ( the only thing is that you might get an interview from what I heard)

a friend of mine, just got her PR last month. She was telling me that she originally applied to Buffalo but since it got closed down they send the applications randomly to different visa office. Her application was sent it to Seoul then she got the PR in 4 month. Prior to that, the situations were totally different. She and her friends ( 2 other PNP applicants) applied about the same time, then when the other two got their AOR and medical. My friend didn't even get the medical. She was very anxious then. After her application was sent it to Korea, she got the medical and 2 months after she got her PR but her other friends are still waiting! So I think it's something to really consider.

According to this, the Resident ID is your national ID. You can leave the expiry date blank, and write in "N/A" after printing it.

thank you. Yes, I did google it and I figured "resident ID" might replace the "National ID" for this form.
However, I couldn't think of manually writing N/A in the "expiry date" after the print out.

would it still be ok to do so in hand writing?

seniors please advice on which immigration office i need to select for CEC PR processing.

CPP-ottawa or new delhi(India) ? In which office CEC PR processing would be faster?

I am currently in Canada ,but there are chances that I need to move back to my home country India after 3-4 months.
