My boyfriend is an Austrailian who has been in Canada for 3 years, but just once on a work visa. (Visitors visa otherwise.)

I am on CPP because my long term disability insurance company requires it (required to apply and I was approved even though I am in my 30s.)

Will being on CPP go against our spousal application? I have my own money aside from what comes in monthly from CPP and long term disability insurance (private company) To note I am not a DWP (technically considered disabled 100% by govt which is why I only get regular CPP.

If you have an answer or a better way of explaining this chaotic post, please reply.

1. No, CPP is not public assistance.
