Is CEC coming back in 2023

Hey guys, is CEC draw coming back or already happening? I could only find info for FSW draws online. My EE profile says I meet CEC requirements.

It will be all program draws (FSW, CEC, PNP, etc.) there surely will not be a CEC specific draw as those are covid abnormalities.

There are draws happening now that include CEC applicants. All of the recent draws have been general. General draws include CEC.

thanks for your reply, CEC used to happen before COVID as well tho right? Is there any announcement or anything that states there isn’t going to be CEC?

Rarely. Most draws were general draws. CEC draws were mostly a COVID thing.

There have been no announcements.

Thanks for your reply, so rn i only have 411 points and which I could get upto 460 (IELTS and more experience) so EE draws are kinda impossible for me so only hope is CEC specific draw as they tend to be lower

You should max out your IELTS score as soon as possible to increase your score. You can also learn French to increase your score. Look into the PNP programs if you haven't done so already. Also explore securing an LMIA supported job offer to increase your points. A CEC specific draw is not your only hope.

first CEC only draw in March 2020, last in September 2021. Definitely a covid abnormality. Before that we only saw skilled trades specific draws.

I would recommend don't bet your luck on any CEC only draws in the future.
