Hello friends,
Is there is a need to submit bank statement as a proof of funds? because,
In the checklist these three things are mentioned :

current bank certification letter; or
evidence of savings balance; or
fixed or time deposit statements.

Does these three things differs from the Bank statement?
Please reply at your earliest convenience,
Thanks.

current bank certification letter; or - This is issued by bank on the basis of balance at the time of request for certificate
evidence of savings balance; or - This is Bank Statement
fixed or time deposit statements. - This is another form of bank statement , that shows fixed amount , profit accruals etc

Does these three things differs from the Bank statement? - All Three are inter linked

Question... I went to the bank and did not want to give me a certification letter. What should I do?

Hi dear,

Things not clear here. My question is also the same. Can we just show "current bank certification letter" instead of a "bank statement" as POF?

Awaiting your reply.

Thanks

What is the difference between those two?

NewIndia123,

Yes, you can submit Bank Certification Letter as a POF with your application. Visa Officer may or may not ask for a Bank Statement later during the processing of your application.

Emiiuki,

Bank Certificate Letter just shows ending balance on the date of issuance of this letter while Bank Statement shows all debits & credits transactions during the period of the statement.

I was really wondering!

Thank You guys for the meaningful replies,
Does anyone have any idea about,

What is the proper recommended amount of funds in Canadian currency that should be shown in the bank certification letter in order to prove that the single applicant has the required amount to fulfill all his needs in Canada for a year or 6 months?
Please reply at your earliest convenience,
Thanks.
