If you have an associate degree (2yrs) in Registered Nurse (RN), do you qualify as a skilled worker?

Registered nurses are on the list of 38 occupations that qualify under Category 1.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list

However, nursing is a regulated profession, and is regulated at the provincial level. In most provinces now, registered nurses have to have a bachelors degree (4 years). Do not know if this would prevent you from qualifying, however, you would not be able to work without having your credentials evaluated or without getting licensed in the province where you intend to settle.

Your best source of information is here:
http://www.cna-nurses.ca/CNA/nursing/becoming/international/default_e.aspx

As well, there are many other nurses on this forum, you can search the forum.

Im a little bit confuse.. what RN means in NOC... Im RN(BSN) in my home country w/ more than 1yr experience... so you mean I fall in 3152 (RN) category?!? But Im not yet RN in canada?!? Im just a spouse of the principal applicant and it doesnt matter but I just want to know if I also qualify if I am the principal applicant.

Yes, you could qualify as the principal applicant. But you could not work as an RN until you meet all the qualifications and become licensed as an RN in the province where you want to settle.

ohh..I see. thanks Jen! :)

You can apply for skilled worker program regardless if you are an Rn through an associate degree or a BSN program, as long as you are an RN and functioning as an RN in the country where you come from and provided you meet the required 67 points plus the 1 year continuous full time experience or equivalent part time experience.

You have to apply for credential evaluation first before you can take the exam. You can start this process even if you are not in Canada yet.

You can go to Canada to take the exam by applying for a tourist/visitor's visa.

What if the person is not qualified for a visitors visa, is there any way else to take the exam?

No other way. The person needs to be in Canada for the exam.
