HI guys,

I noticed some people said AOR, some were FN. I am quite confused about it. Are they the same?

I got my FN from CIC along with acknowledges of receipt of payment(cause i paid everything at the time when i sent papers to CIC, hoping it could speed up the things)

So, I am wandering that AOR is short form of the acknowledge of receipt?

Thanks,

Yes, in the paper-based PR applications, AOR is the letter that your file has been accepted for processing, which is where you are issued the file number.

Thank you!

As i know , the CIC is now sending landing papers based on the applications of Oct, 2015.

Hopefully, all January applicants of 2016 could be settled soon.

AOR is not the same with file number, its aknowlegement of reciept, dis shows that cic had recieved ur application, opened it and checked it and notin is missing, they will tell u that
we recieved ur application on 22 december 2015 and we start processing it 22 febuary 2016
they will now give u a UCI number, u will use dis 1 to log in, and comunicate with ur application

Usually they are sent in the same email, but not necessarily.

One more note: UCI is number that is attached to an applicant. E.g. I have work permits and study permits applied and approved before I apply PNP-PR, I will receive the same UCI number as I did in my WPs, but a different App. # for PR.
