Is an electronic signature (such as e-signing on PDF/Adobe Reader) allowed on visitor visa application?

Hello!

I was wondering if anyone has tried doing e-signature instead of 'physical'/normal ink by pen when signing forms such as the various forms that require signing (family information, use of representative, etc.)?

Using e-sign would be much easier than printing and signing then scanning again. Usually e-signatures are just as legal/valid as a signature by pen but not sure how immigration Canada feels about it.

If you are applying online, you don’t need to print and sign the form. Leave the signature section empty.
you will be asked to digitally sign everything on one go at the end, before submission, by the system.

I thought that was true only for the main application form. It applies to all forms like the family information one?
