I renewed my study permit when I was in Canada. Immigration Services did not ask for my passport to update the stamp, and I wasn't told to send my passport anywhere, so I assumed that I didn't need to update it, and the old one would still work because they can check it electronically. I then went to Lebanon (my home country) and wanted to come back, but my airline refused to let me board and said my visa stamp on the passport itself has to show the updated valid expiry date that's on my study permit. Are they right? If so, what should I do now and where can I update the stamp?
