Is “Biometric valid for 10yrs in GCKey the same as BVL” ?

Hi everyone, I have not received any correspondence letter from IRCC via my GCKey , but I saw a statement “ Biometric valid for 10 years “ . Is this the same as BVL ?

No, you receive the BVL as correspondence letter and each time you apply you'll receive a fresh BVL
