IRCC Webform & Document deadline extension

I have been requested to submit some documents within a deadline 30 days, but unfortunately I cannot submit it in time since it will require cancelling and rebooking some expensive flights.

I have submitted a request to extend the deadline by a few days using the IRCC webform.

So, my questions are, has anyone had any successes extending their deadline for submitting documents? And roughly how long is the wait for a response after an IRCC submission?
