Hello,

Helping my parents to apply for super visa. My mother is the principal applicant and included my father as an accompanying family member.

At the beginning of the application in the Manage group section, do I have to put my father as a member? I tried doing it, and it created another application in the portal in addition to the one I created with my mother as the Principal applicant.

My question is do I have to do the same process for my father again? In that way, I might end up submitting 2 applications, whereas the intention is to apply once for both of them together? Can someone please help and tell me whether I have to add my father as a member in the group?

They each have their own application within the portal. So you add him as a member.

Thank you so much. Really appreciate it :)

Does that mean the application and the documents need to be submitted twice? After all, it will be the same document.

Hello,

Still waiting for a response. I am a bit confused. Do I need to upload the same documents twice? Documents such as the Letter of invitation, proof of host income, funds, marriage certificate, proof of relationship are the same for both my mother and father as they are filing the application together. Also, I am planning to combine the pdf of passports and medical insurances for each and upload them respectively. I just don't know if I should be uploading the same documents for each of my parents.

Anyone please? :(

Hi, I have used portal for visitors visa and believe same process for super visa too.

Basically, once you add your father or mother as a member it will create two applications inside one. Both will have their own section to upload their documents.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for your response. I was thinking of combining all their financial (Proof of funds) documents together in one PDF. Does that mean I should upload those documents individually along with the rest? Some documents will be duplicates, such as Proof of relationship with child, Marriage certificate etc.

Yup, it's okay to duplicate.

Hi have you applied super visa for your parents? I did on may24 but haven’t received BIL yet.. any idea how long usually it takes to receive that letter?

Yes, I applied on the same day. If you mean the Biometric Instruction letter, we have opted to re-use the previous Biometrics as they are valid for 10 years, and we still have another 7 years left. It should usually arrive within a few days.

You applied less than a week ago. Your application will either be processed relatively quickly if done primarily by AI and there are no irregularities on the medical or it will take months because it is being processed manually. If there are any irregularities on the medicals (eg. Irregularities on the chest x-ray which typically lead to IRCC wanting to rule out TB would add around 3 months).
