I’m inviting my parents to visit Canada on a visitor visa. They will show funds in their own account, but I will also be providing a letter stating that I will cover all expenses for their trip, including accommodation, food, and other costs.

I earn in USD and have a cross-border U.S. savings account with RBC. Is it acceptable to show proof of funds in USD, or should I convert the amount to CAD for the application?

Your funds have minimal impact on their approval. Even if you plan on covering their costs they are typically required to show that they could pay if required.
