hi guys, i arrived in Canada 3 days ago,got mi sin number, bank account etc,, I want to invite my cuban mother to come visit me for Xmas,,do you think itll be better if I wait until I have my PR card? since I could be able to send her a copy so she can bring it to the embassy or a copy of the COPR and my PR visa on my passport will be ok for the embassy too?

I don't think it matters whether you have your PR card yet or not. The most important bit is for your mother to prove she has strong ties to her home country and has no plans on remaining in Canada long term.

thank you Scylla,,i was thinking that since i had no received yet my pr card cic might think its a lil too early to invite her?

most parents 50 years+ from Cuba get approved or so Ive heard,,, which would be better online or going to the embassy? any link here to read a post where someone invited their cuban in laws will be really appreciated!

I don't know of any such posts but it's quite possible they exist. Use the forum search feature if you want to find posts about Cubans applying for visitor visas.
