Hi guys, I hope you can help with a query regarding my invitation to apply for PR that I received yesterday.

I was invited yesterday on the basis of my having 2 years of Canadian work experience however this is technically not the case......yet! The express entry application only asks for month and year of employment and has assumed that I am over the 2-year mark, hence receiving the invite however, my official work anniversary is in 2 weeks (October 12th to be exact). Technically speaking, I have 1 year 11 months and 15 days' worth of skilled Canadian work experience from the date of invitation (yesterday).

Long story short, if I apply for PR and submit all my documents etc after my official 2-year anniversary (i.e. any date after October 12th) should this be okay, or will they decline this based on the fact I didn't have 2 years of experience (and therefore not enough CRS points) from the date of the invitation to apply letter?

I spoke to a consultant as well as a Facebook forum and seem to be getting conflicting information. The consultant is saying it's fine, as long as you wait until after your official 2 year work anniversary whereas the Facebook group is saying I should decline this as I don't have enough points from the date of the invitation, even though I WILL have enough points by the time i officially apply.

2 years of work experience as opposed to 1 year gives me an extra 11 CRS points which has taken me over the minimum score line, which is why I'm not sure what to do! Hope this makes sense and happy to go into more detail if needed.

Yes, you will be fine if you hold off submitting your complete application until after you hit the two year mark.
