Hello,
My friend would like to apply for a tourist visa for a two week stay in Canada to visit me. To support her request, I would like to submit an invitation letter. I am a Canadian citizen (born) and I know that I need to give my birth certificate and some bank statements to prove I can support her.
I am a student and though I work, I am worried there may be some unwritten minimum for yearly salary to be able to accomodate someone. I also still live with my parents, and my father (who has his own house) already gave me his approval to let my friend stay. Despite this, I am worried the letter of invitation may not be valid because I am not the owner of the house.
So basically, my two questions:
1. Is there a minimum yearly salary to be able to send an invitation letter?
2. Can I still invite my friend (with my father's approval, in his home) if the home is not mine?
Thank you very much for your time.
