Invest and you will get PR in Canada

Hi Experts,

I heard that we can invest money in Canada and can get PR for whole family. Is that true?

If yes, can you pls guide me which program ,how much to invest ,all in details.

It depends what you mean by "whole family" - if you mean spouse and minor children - then possible. If you're also referring to adult children, parents and siblings - then no.

Yes - there are a number of investor immigration programs with in the provincial nominee programs and also the start up visa stream. Information can be found here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

Typically to qualify for these programs, you need to have a net worth of over a million dollars and be prepared to invest several hundred thousand dollars in Canada.

That's not the case. You cannot include your parents since they are not classified as dependents for immigration purposes.

I feel like it all depends on how much you invest. I know that some friends of mine did it in the course of the last couple of years but true the parents didn't get PR out of it.
