Hello,
I hope this finds you well. I'm EgySaudwife and I'm American. I'm engaged to a Canadian citizen and currently I am living in America. At first I didn't want him to sponsor me to live in Canada with him because I have a son from a previous marriage and I help care for my elderly mother. However, after much thought this seems to be the easier path.
Our home will hopefully will be in Quebec, Montreal to be exact. Since I'm not French speaking I know I would like to go to Ontario later on if possible.

So, on to my questions...once we start the process do I have to stay in America or can I freely go back and forth until a decision is made?

Second: if I become pregnant will I be eligible to give birth in Canada or must it be here in America?

Third: what is the average timetable for spouses immigration with an American?

Fourth: Is there anything like a fiancee visa or just only a spousal family visa?

Sincerely,
EgySaudwife

You can travel back and forth.

You can have the baby in Canada. However if the baby comes before you have PR, you'll have to pay for all of the costs of the birth out of your own pocket since you won't have provincial health care coverage.

There is no fiancee visa. You have to be either married or common law. Common law means you have lived together continuously for a minimum of one full year.
