Intl. Student in UK From China Visitor Visa Processing time

Hello,

I am very frustrated. I am a Chinese student studying in the UK. I recently submitted my application for a visitor visa. I checked the processing times AFTER I submitted my visa and its saying 65 days. I submitted everything online that was required and triple checked my application to make sure it is good.

I already booked my flight which is in 21 days. Is there any chance I have of making this flight? Very frustrated that it takes 65 days, since other countries take 10-15 days, even applying from China only takes 13 days. So any idea what the chances are me making it on this flight? Is there any way to speed this up? What if I visit the Canadian embassy in London, can I submit my documents in person? I really don't want to lose out on the money for this flight and its the only time I can go to Canada since this is my only study break.

When did you apply? Buying a flight without any cancellation coverage is a bad idea when applying for any visa, as the processing times can change. The date on the website is just a guide. It may take 65 days, it may take shorter, it may take longer. This depends on many things like the individual application and how many applications are in for processing at that time. Unfortunately there is no way to speed this process up.
