My husband received a letter for an interview, regarding additional information regarding our relationship and to bring his passport.

What can he expect and what information can he bring, information that we have submitted and new information?

This is an outland application

Probably bring stuffs like letters or any profs of your relationship the older the better, pictures would also help

This thread has a lot of interview experiences pasted into it.
It's worth reading through all of it to help get prepared

Thank you for the response.. This helps. We had added all of our information in our application but I guess they need additional information to confirm. I hope this is the end and we can finally be together.

IF they asked for his original passport to bring to the interview that can be a positive thing or is this standard?

I'm not sure if it is standard or not, but I do know that sometimes they will give the visa on the spot and put it in the passport.
Always a good idea to bring it along and save some headache of mailing out the passport.

Sometimes they request it because they just have a couple questions or want to see the applicant in person.
And I believe (but do not know for sure) that applicants from certain countries are almost always interviewed so don't take it personally if that's the case.
I hope the interview goes smoothly!

would you mind if I ask you where your partner is from and how long it's been since you mailed your application?

thanks
