It's certainly good that you have taken care of him since 2014 (I assume he is living exclusively with you and not at all living with his biological parents - and that you take care of all of his needs like clothing, food and schooling). What makes your situation complicated is that his biological parents are still alive and you are related to them. This means you typically need to show that the relationship with the biological parents has been completely severed and they play no role in this child's life that may be viewed as parental. Good luck.

yea, i admitted him one of the best school in Dhaka and my name in his school as legal guardian. because according to Muslim law we cant adopt, so i cant put my name as a parent. He is leaving with me since he was two years old .

That will certainly work in your favour. I would bring evidence of all of that to the interview.

@jas2015, I am also from Bangladesh. My wife got separated from her German mother (at 9 months old) and returned to Bangladesh with her father and was adopted by her Aunt. Now we are planning to bring her adoptive mother here to Canada and need to prepare some documents. If you kindly send me an email (samimsnu@gmail.com), that will be a great help. Thank you in advance.
So you are askig about PGP to sponsor her mother (via adoption)?
I think there is very few cases like that on this forumn.
So I assume that there is no legal relationship between her dad and her aunt? Does her aunt has a current spouse?
One part is to make sure you and her has enough combined income to sponsor that parent plus her dependents for the previous 3 years. And when the PGP 2022 is available, then enter into the lottery to see if it's picked?

May be worth it to consult a lawyer to see if it's even possible. (since adoption was done with a living birth mother)

Yeah, we are considering PGP program. Her aunt did not get married yet (58 years old) because of her (my wife). Her father has some connection to her aunt and they have legal relationship (brother-sister), will that make any problem?. Yeah, she has the financial ability to sponsor her adoptive mother.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

I think it's possible vis PGP. But I am not 100% sure.

I though her aunt is from her mother's side, I guess it was wrong guess. I don't know if having mother and father as siblings would raise any concern. As I said this is a really unusal case.

Added: it may be worth to start a new topic/discussion because it is not really the same as the OP's situation. Sponsoring an adopted child is very different from sponsoring a parent (non-birth but through adoption).

The PGP covers adoptive parents. So technically this is feasible. IMO you would want to show that a legal adoption was completed at that time according to the laws of the country (i.e. back when she was a child). It's possible IRCC may also look for evidence that her relationship with her birth parents was severed.
