Please post any question/s your spouse has been asked at his/her interview regardless of VO processing the PR application.

I am in dire need to get an idea what I should expect at my interview. I have already gone over the typical interview questions online but I am missing the real experiences from those who have gone through the process and hoping you would share some of those experiences.

Thanks in advance!

My husband was interviewed last month in Accra, Ghana.

They asked him how we met, and to tell him about our relationship. (just general stuff) He asked where we travelled together and what we like to do together. He asked how frequently we talk, and what we talk about. He asked if my husband knew about my divorce, and why I got divorced, and what the situation with the ex is like now. Also what our plans are for the future (my husband actually answered "my plans for the future are to have a lot of sex, i haven't seen my wife in 4 months!" OMG) and then he was asked the birthdates of 2 of my 3 children. He then asked my husband to tell him about my kids, so he talked at length about 2 of them, then just before starting on the 3rd the IO held up his hands and said "enough, enough! I believe your relationship is genuine. Can you come back at 3pm to pick up your visa?" He handed back all of our photos and evidence. My husband returned that afternoon and picked up his visa, and will arrive in Edmonton in less than 48 hours!

hope this helps a little bit. good luck to you!

Thanks for your response Bob .. and YIPPIEEE to your hubby landing in a few hours. You are probably getting overly excited and can't wait for him to walk out those arrivals gates at the airport, eh?

My husband was asked pretty much the same questions as bobshynoswife's husband. The IO also went through the labeled pics we sent with our application. My husband had to tell the IO who the people in the pics were, and when the pics were taken. I guess this helps to weed out anyone with bogus pics. Half of his interview was conducted in his native language, and the other half in English. Our CAIPS notes said their concerns were 'age difference' and 'language difference', so I think the English half of the interview was to ensure we truly could communicate as we had said.
