Hello everyone!

If you are called for an interview, is it true that only the principal applicant is interviewed and not both the spouse and principal applicant?

Thanks.

Hi,
Mostly visa officers ask questions from principal applicant, but it all depend on the visa officer. Questions are simple so do not worry. Questions can be like, why migrating, your future plan, your present job, your assets, any criminal record, etc.

nomlah,

Thank you. But how would I know who needs to go to the interview? Would they tell you in the letter if only the principal applicant or both?

nomlah,

Any idea how long is the interview session with the visa officer?
thank you

I do not know the answer for you question, but I think you can answer my question. Are you applying with your spouse? If the answer is yes. How would I know who needs to go to the interview? I know that the principal applicant for sure but what about the spouse? Would they tell you in the letter if only the principal applicant or both?

Hi,
When I received my interview letter, it had mentioned that anyone in the family over the age of 22 should make every effort to come for the interview. If they cannot make it for the interview you have to provide a good reason for them not attending. I went with my wife but she was not asked any question. The session probably lasted 30 minutes.

Our Visa Officer was very nice. So good luck!

The principal applicant faces the interviewer and answers all questions. Do not border your wife pls.
