My husband just received a call and email for an interview next Thursday...so we have a limited amount of time to get everything ready...we would really appreciate any help!

They asked for him to bring his passport, proof of my income, and proof that he wants to reside in Canada.

I have been in school and then I came directly to Lebanon and have been with my husband waiting for the immigration papers. So I haven't been working and can't provide proof such as tax receipts and whatnot. However in the initial package we provided both of my parents' tax receipts and a letter stating that we would be living with them until we can establish ourselves in Canada...should we just send them my parents' recent tax information along with another letter? What other documents can we provide?

More proof they asked for was proof that he wants to come and move to Canada. I think they are worried about this only because I am here staying with my husband. He does have a job offer, but again, what other papers can he provide? Would it look bad if we booked tickets for both of us and showed them? Since then it's like he's assuming he's getting a visa.

Thanks for your help :)

Proof that he wants to settle in CA will be the job letter and his one way itinerary to CA. Looks like he will be getting his visa. You should get a letter from your parents stating that both of you will be supported financially by your parents.

Best of luck in your interview.

Thank you for your help! You don't think it would look bad if he bought a ticket? Like just assuming he's getting a visa? We'll book for both of us, and bring both the tickets in. We also have my parents' tax information along with a letter from them and the job offer. My husband is also providing his bank booklet.

Instead of purchasing tickets, make reservations first. At the interview, walk with your confirmation for the reservations. The thing about reservations is that there is a deadline to purchase. This varies from company to company if you choose to do this through and agency or airline to airline.
Best of luck!

By any chance do you know how I can just make reservations?

Travel Agency or call the customer service for the airline carrier you wish to travel with. Some airlines allow you to do this online. Ask for email confirmation if you call.
