hi all, i have my interview on 4 october basically on security check, can u plz give me some tips of questions they ask. thanks.

Hi Dulman,

try out this link, it seems to have ALOT of questions frequently asked. If it's a security check maybe it pertains to something specific they want to ask you. Do you have your CAIPS notes? They might help you figure out what they are concerned about.

But if it's a general interview trying to assess whether you have a genuine marriage then check out this link below:

Gluck to you on your interview

Here's a reply to a post with the same topic -

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!!

Hi, I had a security interview ...I had 3 months to wait for that day it was horrid ! :(

The interview will be conducted by a CSIS officer , ( who was very nice ) I may add !

Depending on yours / spouse background this is why the interview has been called.

Answer their questions honestly and openly ... DO NOT LIE ...these people already know your background !

I don't know your background but if you or your spouse has or had any invlovement in the military , politics, crim record etc.... this is the reason why you have been called for a security interview !

Did your letter say it will be conducted by CSIS ? ::)

Hi Dulman,

I think it is best that you visit a lawyer as Security Interview sounds different to Spouse interview where they want to see if you know info about your spouse. As for security in this day an age who knows what it could be, it could just be random or some countries that you lived in may be arising Curiosity. Good Luck

DO NOT see a lawyer , best advice !!!! they are NOT allowed to speak or take notes . your wasting your money , just stay calm and be honest ....after the interview then you can decide if you need a lawyer as you will know exactly what the security interview is about .

GOOD LUCK :)

Sorry Eye I meant to see a lawyer before hand to prep for the interview at least it will be a good thing to know kinda what your walking into. All interviews are different trust me i know.

I went to Buffalo cause i was a student applying under skilled PR at the same time, the IO tore me apart even though i had all my files in order evidence job letters etc. I even went as far as getting a proof of funds from my companies old chartered accountant signed and stamped and still they refused me my PR Based on One Point... I lost my PR on One Point.. So if i were this person i would go see the experts before you become a stat.

I know lawyers are expensive but for advice on such a tender subject i would want the best opinion I am not saying ours is not but at least to get a clear professional idea.

1 point ? are you serious :o what were you missing ? I think to ease one persons mind they could see a lawyer too as I know I was flapping round like a headles chicken when I was called for a security interview too :(

I know Eye I was so gutted basically she had some doubts over my work experiance as i worked full time when i left School then I went back to college and worked part time with mostly full time hours. She said that my documents looked to "Clean" even though i told her i re-printed them recently (Stupid mistake) as i did not know any better i was thinking if she saw a old document it would not look nice.

Lastly as i worked in Dubai during that period i was paid by Check but as there is no tax system i could not prove it that well. So she told me i had 90 days to get a letter from a chartered accountant in Dubai that did the books for the firm i worked for, basically i had to dig around hard i managed to find the accountant got the letter she needed stamped etc. but cause it was such a huge process no accountant does not give you a letter without proof of u having worked there. it took a 80 days and i sent it through a day late. They rejected the case.

Knowing what i know now i should have fought it all the way but that since i have been using a lawyer to do my spousal sponsorship and so far so good..

The IO was extremely rude and proved it in the end, bad experience with interviews

Well sorry to read you have had a bad time , hope all goes well for you this time with your lawyer ! its sickening how you can be rejeted for something so simple >:(

Good Luck :)

Yah I know about the bad interview thing. When my husband has his interview we got a real winner for an officer. She walked in the room with a huge knot on her face and said I dont believe your relationship is real. My husband was so nervous. The interview didnt go well at all and we were rejected. Not everyone has a rough interview but ours was so bad I put in a complaint to the high commission and she was investigated.

When I went for my appeal by ADR. I was nervous, but I didnt hesitate in my answers, and I spoke with confidence and clarity. After the minsiters council told me that we had won our appeal he said to me I had answered with confidence about my relationship and spoke without hesitation and clarity, he said I proved beyond a doubt that our relationship was real. I then put my head down on the boardroom table and blatted like a baby LOL.

So my advice is to be honest, confident, because no one else knows the depth of your relationship but you. Dont hesitate when answering since they get the impression you have to think about your answer and might possibly be making things up. Just something to think about :)

I hate interviews Grrr I told my wife if they want to put me thru that crap again i will tell them what they can do with the PR lol and head back to the UK for good. I am tired of playing the waiting game and being patient whilst others decide your fate. Its not fair that people have to wait in Limbo land till some good news drops in the mail box...

yep.. I know exactly what you mean. We applied in Jan 09 and won our appeal in march 10. Finally we can see the light at the end of the tunnel but it was hell I mean HELL to get to this point. During that time you wait while someone else decides your life for you. Your life is on hold just waiting for the day when you get that coveted visa and finally, FINALLY, it comes and their finger releases the pause button and you get to have a life. lol

hi all i applied in ainp family stream, i have my interview on 18th oct....is it ususal to have interview, another reason is a got rejection 2 yrs back may be this is the reason they are calling me for interview...plz advice
