Happy New Year

I and my wife are scheduled to have citizenship test and interview in Toronto this month. If you already passed all in Toronto, can you answer below questions on interview.

Q1. Can I and my wife have interview TOGETHER and can I answer most questions for my wife?
Q2. What kinds of questions does CIC officer ask in Toronto these days?

Your reply would be highly appreciated.

Best regards.

I did not pass the test in Toronto but common sense says you cannot and you will not answer questions for your wife. You may be interviewed together or separated. I saw the agent in Mississauga calling one or 2 members of the family first and telling the other(the father) you will be next.
Good luck.

Why would you like to respond on behalf of your wife?

Thanks for your kind reply. Could you let me know what kinds of questions CIC officer asked in interview? Best regards.

Thanks for your link. It was very helpful. My wife has two additional questions.

Q1. Does CIC officer ask overseas travelling history after she applied for citizenship?
Q2. If she already submitted original proof of english language with application documents, is it OK to bring its photocopy in interview?

Your reply would be highly appreciated.

Regards.

A1. I think they don't care about the time spent outside canada after the application signature date because in order to be eligible for citizenship, they need to consider 4 years preceding the date of your application.

A2. She wasn't supposed to send originals however, in this case take photocopy and if asked tell them that original one was mailed with initial application

They may care about the time you spent outside Canada if it impacts your PR status, i.e. You need to spend 3 out of 5 years in Canada to continue being a pr, also if you spend too much time outside Canada they may ask about your intentions to reside in Canada.

I totally think that your wife may be able to respond by herself during the interview, thinking differently sounds a bit sexist... Just saying.

Cheers
