Interview cancelled in Islamabad... HELP!

Hi,
My spouse's family had an interview this week in Islamabad. He just got an email two days before the interview that it has been cancelled and that they will inform him when the new date is set. I am so confused... they waited 5 years to finally get this interview and have been preparing for the interview but it got cancelled. Some people say they should still go for the interview. Has this happened to anyone else?? Do you know how long it will take to hear back from the visa office? Should they just go to the original schedule interview??

Firstly as your family has received an email from the embassy about the cancellation of the interview so there is no point to go for an interview. the best your family can do is only to wait and no one can predict how much time they will take to re-schedule the interview. Meantime you can write an email to the embassy or you can also contact your local MP to see if he can be of any help to you in this regards.

Same thing happened with us we waited for last five years to recieve interview letter after 5 years we recieved interview letter for 8th november 2016 after few days we recieved another letter that our interview is cancelled . Now can you please tell me after how many days your family recieved other interview letter after being cancelled .
