Hello Everybody,
I face a unique issue. My visa and post grad work permit expires in a week, my interview date is set at the end of next month and I recently got employment after a hiatus of 4 months. WHat I don't understand is the fact that the govt which had initially waved the interview off has asked me for an audience after me giving my medicals 6 months ago. Also if I leave the country as I have to to maintain status quo I will lose the employment I bagged after burning a lot of midnight oil. I find myself at crossroads of an unfamiliar terrain

The questions I have are:-
1) What could be the possible reasons for the govt to demand an interview after waving it off initially?
2) Is there a way to convert my visa into some other one for me to stay in the country while waiting for the interview date?
3) What is the best possible thing to do in such a situation and how likely does it look for me to be successful in obtaining my PR?
