Interpreter to fill out the forms and representative

At the end of some forms there are - Interpreter declaration

"This section must be completed by an interpreter if one assisted you in the preparation of this form.
The interpreter must read the declaration, then print their name and the language in block letters and proceed by signing and dating the form."

I know for sure I'll be woking on all the forms together with my spouse - do I put my name in the declaration section and am I even allowed to be an Interpreter for these purposes?

Also, do we need to submit "use of representative" and put my details as an uncompensated representative on that form?

if your wife doesn't speak a word of english (or french, depending on which forms you are using) then you might want to add a note about it. If she speaks english, but she is more comfortable with you writing things down, then you don't need to explain anything, that's quite a normal process.
use of representative: if you want to have all communications sent to you, and not to your wife, then you should fill it out.
During the sponsor part ( stage 1), CIC communicates with the sponsor, but stage 2, the communication goes to the applicant. So if you are in Canada, and want to be able to ask for information for both stage 1 and stage 2, on behalf of your wife, then she should fill out the representative form to nominate you as her representative.
