I am a student in the US and I am going to intern in Canada next semester. I am struggling with finding what type of visa I need to enter and complete the internship. It is unpaid research internship at the university in Canada for my the US credit to graduate about 3 months . Main duties are to assist their research lab like data collection and other things but for me it’s like gaining experience of the real job so could sound like a job shadowing. Is it considered as a job shadowing then am I okay to go to Canada as a business visitor? or I need a work permit?
