Dear All,

My sister has completed Bachelor of Nursing from India, 2017 and currently working in Hospital as Staff nurse since last 7 months.

Her IELTS score: L 5.5, S 5.5, R 5.0, W 5.0

In which college she can get admission with this IELTS score?

In which category she can apply for visas - SPP, Non-SPP and University?

She is planning for Sept.2018 intake.

Thank you,

Kishan

Also, If I get admission in one of the SPP colleges with given IELTS score.

For Visa, can I make the application Non-SPP.?

Or it’s compulsory that if you have received admission in one of the SPP College for visa you have make application under SPP.

Thank you,

I don't know about SPP colleges but here IELTS is very low and she would find it hard (although not completely impossible) getting a visa. What is she wanting to do? I would suggest doing her IELTS again to achieve much better marks.

Are you applying for yourself or your sister, or both?

Yes we both .... looking for colleges/university. After that will find out under which is type of visa shall we apply.

Improving score is little difficult for her so we are planning to go ahead with this score.

Thanks

We are planning for course: Nursing Unit Clerk, Health Care Administration or others - (For 12 or 18 months).

As we know the practical nursing courses have high IELTS requirement and with this I believe visa chances would be low ( After reading comments in blog)

You usually need at least 6 in the band's to get a visa. I fear if you apply with those scores you may be wasting your money and time, but it's up to you how you proceed. Also, I would suggest going for a course that is at least 2 years in a public college or university. You would be eligible for 3 year PGWP after it. But improve Ielts first

Also a nurse has to converse with people and since you are going to an English speaking country, that makes language skills very important

Language skills are important as I said. If I went to India and couldn't really speak the language my chances of getting a visa would be low. Your chances are very low with that score. They need to be improved

If you want to work in the health care field and more importantly get a job in health care you need better scores. There is no room for misunderstanding in health care. You should really improve your language scores and the apply to transfer your degree to LPN or go to add to your schooling and become an RN. Your chances or getting a job and a better life are much higher that way.

Her language scores are too low. Even if a college accepts her - the study permit will be refused. She needs to improve her language test scores if she wants to try to come to Canada. It doesn't matter what program she applies for - her language scores are simply too low to be approved.
