Hi good day,

Im international student in Canada while I'm doing my part-time 20 hour job. My employer decided He would apply me for sponsorship and would apply a Positive LMIA and hope to get a response sometime. He would like to Hire me for a full-time job because of absence of skilled worker in his company and with I can provide because of my past experience. Is this possible situation to drop my International student visa and wait for working visa inside Canada?

Yeah you can but i don't know if you'll be allowed to work for your employer while your Work permit is being processed.

Thank you so much Ray for the response. It is ok for me to wait as long as I don't need to go out Canada.

Stay in school as a full time student until the work permit is approved.

Or, if you want to drop out of school, chance your status to visitor.

Note that there's no gurantee the WP will be approved.
