Hi I am new in this forum and nice to meet you everyone. Wink

I am graduating this April, 2016 and getting a Commerce degree in McMaster University. I want to become a Canadian PR via CEC and now I need to get a 3 years post-graduate work permit to work a certain years.

However, I need to work at least one year as a skilled worker and NOC 0,A,B category. I am only a fresh grad and what kind of Job i should looking for and any advice for international student? I have oversea exchange experience and legit internship experience in Hong Kong. I understand Canada only care Canada experience.

My degree doesn't specific any major so I am willing to work anything (Marketing, Operation, Supply Chain, Bank etc, I don't really like sales lol). As long as it meets the CEC requirement and suitable for new grad student.

Thank you.

my spouse was in the same situation as you hoping to find work, and there was none that she was able to get that fit in the NOC categories acceptable. We searched and searched and made applications, but not even a single response to interview. So in our case, it turned out impossible, she was able to get jobs not in the skilled NOC categories, which she did, and we ended up getting married anyways and now going through the spousal sponsorship program.

I think it might depend a lot on the actual degree you get, it needs to be in a field that they are having trouble finding enough workers, I don't know anything about Commerce so can't comment, but my wife graduated with very good marks with a 4 year Bachelor Degree of Science from a good university in Canada and was completely unable to find a job that fit the NOC categories

good luck to you
