International Student Sponsoring His Spouse

Hello Everyone!

I belong to Pakistan and i'm an International student in Canada. Now my study has completed and i've applied for post grad work permit. My Application is in process and may take a couple weeks. So technically i'm still at Study Visa. I want to bring my wife here to Canada. Can someone please guide me with if it is possible, how long does it takes and what the procedure would be.

Canadian helpline and Canadian visa office in Islamabad keeps bouncing me back and forth. none of them gives me the satisfactory answer.

1. Doesn't matter if you are on study visa or PGWP, your spouse need to apply for TRV from homeland.
2. Processing time TRV, Islamabad CHC: 81 days http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp/visitors.asp
