So she applied for a visa to attend high school with a custodian, medical, letter of admission and paying tuition? It may be normal depending on her file because few students come here for high school. Yes, she may need to defer.Hi guys
My sister applied for a student visa(high school) on May 5th, but her visa is still processing. She also had a lawyer for her immigration work. Is this much processing time normal?
She might need to differ!
Yes exactly with everything you said. Okay so you think its normal? Actually I have heard that in case officers want to reject a case, they do it quickly so usually it is a good sign for a case to take long??So she applied for a visa to attend high school with a custodian, medical, letter of admission and paying tuition? Taking a long time is not a good or bad sign. A good sign is being approved within a month. Has her file started eligibility review or background check? if not then defer as school starts within the next couple of weeks. You can raise a webform. Did her parents provide funds for her studies?Yes exactly with everything you said. Okay so you think its normal? First of all, thanks for your time. As her lawyer has submitted her file, I do not have access to her IRCC account to check whether its in eligibility review or in background check, her lawyer just said its processing. Yes her parents have provided all financial support (account statement of having 40k Cad at a bank for one year) and they have also paid high school tuition fee. The lawyer would know if eligibility and background checks would have started. Since you have a lawyer, then all you can do is wait.First of all, thanks for your time. No one here can tell you as you need to discuss with McGill. Believe classes start next week.Delay in study permit
Hello,
I applied for a study visa 10 weeks ago. And unfortunately, I didn’t receive any update, due to starting of the fall term, how can I manage, I deferred last year. Does McGill University accept my degree again based on my situation? Is there any way? Please guide me.
Thanks
So you need to contact McGill and find out possibility of deferring.Thank you for your response.
No, unfortunately, I applied for my visa late for fall 2023 now is 10 weeks
Don’t McGill classes start in a week? If so, you need to call the school now.I appreciate that. Is it ok to wait more or do you recommend discussing it right now?
Thanks
