Dear all,

I'd posted an inquiry in similar line, and after a research things are still hazy. Especially, when I tried one thread in this forum. So I'd apprecaite if you could help me get clearer:

I have an MA degree from the US and can qualify for FSW (estimated points: 70-75) but think it will take forever from Delhi. I am considering going to Canada for another MA degree but more importantly seek PR while still in student visa or at least be in the process. With hope the decision can be reached while I am on work permit following the graduation. So, the intention is PR and the degree is secondary. I learned from the thread that while in student permit one cannot apply for PR. Is it true? Following my graduation I can be on a work permit but do I still qualify if I have no relevant job?

I don't know how much this line of thinking is helpful. Appreciate your response and feedback.

The seocnd issue is I applied for PR in 2006 from the US. I came back after three months and they ask me for further documents (health, US status, etc.). My scenario was changed, wasn't interested to go but anyway asked for an extension. They couldn't extend it and subsequently the application was rejected (failure to produce documents). Will this affect my future application?

Thanks
