I have a valid study permit for the past two years. So basically I intend to change my name legally in my home country but I am worried that I need to apply for my study permit all over again, given the current covid situation the processing time is staggering long & I might not be able to return studying in September if were to reapply a new one.
Could I provide supporting document of name change and carry both my new & old passport at my entry, then replace study permit with new information within Canada?
Anybody here done the same thing or have answers to my question?
Background info: If I were to legally change my name on my passport, my home country would add note on my new passport displaying my old name.
