Sometimes I am surprised to hear people received different letters from mine from ICAC. Mine received in July did not say anything about evidence or anything else except a tick on one (chamber of decision) of three options which are: chamber of decision, regular hearing, and short hearing. According to my understanding of the content of the letter, I should not taking hearing but it is scheduled on January 23rd. This is t mean, we have many things in common but do not forget that every case is unique. Thank you

Hi bro , did you get a hearing date ? My case was transferred to ICAC in May 2025 , until now I haven’t heard anything back from them. It’s so sad. I submitted my refugee claim in 12/2023 . 25 months of waiting , it is very frustrating and I am very anxious.

You all got accepted and decided not to come back here ! Anyway I am still waiting, my case is still in ICAC since may 2025. Called IRB but they never calle me back even after leaving tons of voicemails. My lawyer is not helping either at all!!

When did you apply ?
We are now on a different thread waiting for PR.
Does not look like that letter really means anything different coz wait times for cheating are all same.
I had a hearing after waiting for 1y10months
Mostly depends on the officer handling your file
keep calling them
If possible send web forms requesting for a hearing.
Depending on your condition or just wait .
I thing constantly calling them makes a difference

I submitted the initial application in December 2023 (2 years and 3 months now). After 1 year and 3 months ( may 2025) , got a letter saying that my case was transferred to ICAC ( no minister intervention and no evidences requested!!).
Until now , I am still waiting !!! Lots of people who submitted their applications in 2024 are got their approval and have now applied for PR!!!

Your wait time is fairly common these days. A large number of 2024 applicants are still waiting for a hearing. If you want a lawyer who will respond to as much as much as you would like you should hire a private lawyer. They can bill you for all your questions and emails.

I will keep using the web form every other 2 weeks to ask what’s going on ! Because my application is still in ICAC , and hasn’t even reached the RPD ( refugee protection Division) office yet . I think it will take some time to get a hearing date !!

Sending webforms every 2 weeks when your timeline is not uncommon just overwhelms the system and won’t lead to a faster hearing date.
