Insurance surrender value as proof of funds-seniors pls advise

Hi All,

I have the following to show proof of funds. Please advise if I can show this as proof of funds:

1. Bank balance: Do I need to get a bank certificate?

2. Insurance policies: If I get a letter from Life Insurance Corporation of India certifying my policy surrender value, can this be used as proof of funds?

3 Fixed deposits: I can use fixed deposits but do I need to get bank certificate for this also?

4 PPF Account: Can I show PPF account as proof of funds, also do I need to get bank certificate for the same?

1. Yes you need to show the bank certificate.

2. Yes, you can use Certified Copy of your policy stating the surrender and the transferable value.

3. Ofcourse that's what Fixed Deposits are for. Yes you need to show the prrof.

4. What is PPF? is it Pension something then Yes. It must be transferable and in your name.

Under the Skilled Worker category of Immigration, the Canada Immigration Officer assessing an application must be satisfied that the applicant has enough funds for settlement in Canada. The funds must be transferable and net of debts or other obligations.
