Institute of machine tool technology is offering a 10 months(42 weeks) diploma course in CNC programming. I am a graduate from india. I have 2 years of experience as a lathe machine operator. Now I want to pursue diploma course in CNC at IMTT. Since the course is not eligible for PGWP, what other ways do I have to stay back in canada after completion of the course? Is my previous experience going to help me in any way?

You need a job offer with a LMIA. The employer needs to apply for one and needs to prove no Canadian can do the job and that hiring you will grow the business. The process takes months. Then if approved you apply for a closed work permit...again process takes months. So you need to find an employer to start the process pretty much at the beginnning of your course because of processing.

You should assume that you will struggle to remain in Canada after you finish your studies and that you will struggle be able to work. Securing an LMIA from an employer is an extremely difficult process. It only makes sense to attend this school if you do not want to work in Canada after you finish your studies and have no plans to apply for PR.

CNC courses are offered at public colleges in Canada (e.g. Seneca, Centennial). Take a program through a public college instead so that you qualify for a PGWP.

Stay away from private schools. They have an extremely poor reputation in Canada and are a waste of your money.
