Inquiry about requesting visiting visa

Hello everyone

My son is in Canada studying for his masters, he is on student visa. I would like to visit Canada with my family,
Can I request Visiting visa and get invitation letter under my sons's name?

I also have a nephew who is a Canadian citizen, but I do not have physical proof for our relationship, is it better to request it under his name than under my son's name?
