Inland spouse sponsorship applicatino and work permit issue

hi there:
I've put an application last august to sponsor my wife , the process is still going and we are supposed to hear some news next month ... My wife is now under visitor status untill the end of june this year... now , we managed to get a positive LMO for her and ready to file a workpermit as she wants to work asap instead of waiting..
I've checked the cic websites but seems workpermit application has to be filed outside canada... Is that possible to file it inside canada?

Has to filed outside Canada, or at a POE if eligible. Only be filed in Canada, when she receives Approval in Principal.

You could mail it in (at least you could the last time my husband did) but it could take a while to hear back. It was always faster for us to go to the border, but the officer could tell her no, and not let her in.
