Hi guys, I got a question for you, I applied with US and Indian PCC which were a bit old but they do not have any expiry date on them. I have gone back to these countries for maximum of 1 week and 1 Month respectively. But they are 1 and half years old now. CIC has not told me anything as the application is still open and under background check (App date: Jun1, 2016). Do you think I should voluntarily reapply for PCC or seat tight until CIC say anything coz I read somewhere that now a days PCC do not expire .

Thanks for your consideration :)
Sam

Since you have returned to these countries after the original PCCs were issued, you should definitely order new ones.

They are no longer valid.

@Ponga: Although for USA it was twice (once for a day and another time for a week), they are still not valid? Is it not that if you have satyed more than 6 months only then you need a new PCC? For India its a month although.

Since you have the luxury of time, right now...why not order them just in case CIC requests them during the process? If they do request them, this will undoubtedly add more delays to your application.

This is the problem:
(from CIC's website)

For countries where you have lived for six months or more, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you lived in that country.

Obviously a person that is just visiting that country for a day, is NOT living there, but with CIC...you never know what kinds of hoops you'll be asked to jump through.
